MDM Application Manager Sr.

Brief Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Huntington Data Management Program as the technical manager supporting the Customer Master Data Management team. Work closely with technology and business leads on both tactical and strategic MDM solutions. This function will work closely with partners to conduct a deep dive current state analysis including all aspects of customer integration across the ecosystem of customer-impacting business processes. The candidate will leverage current state analysis to contribute to future state requirements, design, and solution recommendations.

 Detailed Description:

  • Build an application development team with the right people
  • Provide development team leadership to improve reliability and performance of shared services and interfaces with other applications.
  • Act as a Consultant, Coach, Mentor in the design of new technology solutions.
  • Build Consensus toward the Best Ideas; offer great insight; accept great insight easily from others.
  • Deliver projects and enhancements on schedule and to specifications.
  • Create transparency between IT and the lines of business.
  • Improve the current solutions to help make other departments as productive as possible.
  • Recognize upstream and downstream impacts; communicate effectively (verbally & in writing).
  • Maintain an application backlog. Keep the backlog clean. Create short and long term work plans for your team based on Project Management Office and customer priorities. Provide build estimates in your plans.
  • Decrease incidents and increase uptime of your application.
  • Minimize production support incidents.

 Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 yrs of Information Technology experience which includes 5 years of development experience (Java)

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading developers and guiding team members regarding best practices
  • Experience decomposing requirements into services-based architectures
  • Understanding of SOA concepts and Master Data Management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams
  • Experience with IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management product suite
  • Experience providing shared services to multiple teams
  • Experience in Financial Services industry or with financial applications
