Sr. Regulatory Reporting Analyst in Columbus at Huntington

If you are looking to make an impact, come join our Regulatory Reporting Team as a Senior Level Analyst! You will be in a highly visible position and will actively contribute to our Regulatory Reporting Transformation Project as we fine tune our regulatory reporting, automate and standardize processes and educate our data providers. You will be preparing and analyzing Huntington's daily, weekly and quarterly regulatory filings to ensure compliance with the standards and guidelines of required regulatory entities, including the FFIEC and OCC.

  • Prepare required banking regulatory reports including supporting schedules for our required Call Reports.
  • Create clean and accurate supporting documentation and conclusions of reported numbers.
  • Analyze results and provide insightful detail to management for trends and fluctuations.
  • Collaborate, build relationships and communicate requirements with all business lines of the Bank to gather reportable data.
  • Automate and create efficiencies to the established processes.
  • Perform reconciliations to other regulatory and external filings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
  • 5 or more years of experience in financial reporting, and/or a risk, audit, or accounting position that supports financial functions..

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability and desire to take the initiative in researching and analyzing complex data, providing alternative solutions and effectively communicating findings to various levels of individuals within the company.
  • Process improvement oriented.
  • Basic knowledge of banking regulations, regulatory reporting and/or core banking processes considered a plus.
  • Experience with Call Reports, including FR Y-9C, FR Y-9LP, Y-14Q, Y-14A.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize tasks to assure each is completed timely and accurately.
  • Public accounting experience.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
