Growth Opportunity -- Treasury Group - Portfolio Management Analyst

This is your opportunity to jump start your career in Treasury Investment Portfolio Management!! Your analytical skills and quantitative education, projects, internships, and work experience will position you well in our Treasury Group. You will participate in analyzing investment options within the Bank's fixed income portfolio and help to prepare management and board-level presentations on the company's investment portfolio. You will analyze behaviors and cash flows underlying each of the securities within the investment portfolio and will work closely and collaboratively with various members of the Finance & Treasury teams in order to develop ways to best model and manage interest rate risk within the investment portfolio.

Responsibilities will include:

• Running cash flow simulations on the company's investment portfolio to understand the sensitivity of earnings and capital to changes in interest rates
• Preparing and compiling the committee papers for the Asset Liability Support Committee and the Executive Asset Liability Committee
• Preparing analysis on historical cash flows to refine the assumptions within the asset liability modeling software
• Solving business problems by developing practical solutions through the application of quantitative methods
• Compiling and analyzing data to provide reporting and trending of key performance indicators to management in a timely manner; providing insights and identifying data inconsistencies for investigation
• Assisting the Investment Portfolio team with other monthly duties as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a Quantitative Field such as Economics, Finance, or Statistics)
• 1 or more years of quantitative analysis experience which may be a combination of education projects, internships, and work experience (Please detail on your resume).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong quantitative analytical skills with proven ability to process large datasets into meaningful information, identify patterns, problems or analysis opportunities.
• Understanding of capital and financial markets.
• Understanding of banking related products -- determining how a product will behave in the future and the risk associated with it.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Power Point, and Access.
• Programming skills preferred (VBA).
• Excellent communication skills - Able to communicate and present complex issues clearly and concisely with management, both written and verbally.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, balancing multiple responsibilities, adapting to changing priorities and meeting strict deadlines.
• Ability to work within a team environment, as well as independently.
