Job Description

The Commercial Business Risk Manager is responsible for supporting the risk structure within Treasury Management. Works directly for Commercial Business Risk Manager Sr.

Detailed responsibilities include the following:


• Work with Treasury Management colleagues to ensure that the risk functions are effectively supporting strategic goals. TM Colleagues include Product Managers, TM Sales, Service and Onboarding, and the Risk Middle Office.
• Act as a central point for receipt and distribution of important risk information. Maintain two-way communication with Risk Management partners to ensure an effective flow of information with regard to risk matters.
• Collaborate regularly with Commercial Segment Risk on pertinent risk issues and projects, in particular with the Segment Risk manager who specializes in the Treasury Management business line.
• Ensure that business risks are assessed correctly. Advise and collaborate with the business line in designing controls to mitigate the risks. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of business controls. Designing tests that accurately measure effectiveness, in accordance with Corporate Risk Management requirements.
• Participate in the process for writing a comprehensive and supported Product and Service Risk Assessments (PSRA) in collaboration with key partners.
• Act as a liaison during audits and reviews.
• Coordinate all policy, process map, control test, and metric reviews. Ensure the documents are routed, updated, presented and posted within the allotted time.
• Work with impacted areas to assist in creating action plans resulting in findings, self-identified findings, and/or new processes.
• Manage the timely updates and renewals of Risk Acceptances.
• Escalate issues to appropriate parties and see issue through to the resolution.
• Maintain the TM Risk SharePoint site.
• Assist with driving the risk culture by establishing expectations, ownership, and accountability for risk management within the business segment that includes reinforcement and education/training.
• Participate and/or manage highly visible risk projects that impacts our business and teams.
• Provide back-up and support to the Commercial Business Risk Manager Sr.

Basic Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree (Business, Finance, Operations)
• A minimum of five (5) years of risk management experience. (banking/financial services, operations, AML/BSA and or fraud)

• Treasury Management product and service knowledge and experience preferred.
