Job Description

As a Portfolio Management Analyst within the Treasury Group, you will analyze investment options within the bank's fixed income portfolio. You will be responsible for preparing management and board-level presentations on the company's investment portfolio. You will analyze behaviors and cash flows underlying each of the securities within the investment portfolio. You will work closely and collaboratively with various members of the Finance & Treasury teams in order to develop ways to best model and manage interest rate risk within the investment portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

• Run cash flow simulations on the company's investment portfolio to understand the sensitivity of earnings and capital to changes in interest rates
• Prepare and compile the committee papers for the Asset Liability Support Committee and the Executive Asset Liability Committee
• Prepare analysis on historical cash flows to refine the assumptions within the asset liability modeling software
• Solve business problems by developing practical solutions through the application of quantitative methods
• Compile and analyze data to provide reporting and trending of key performance indicators to management in a timely manner; provide insights and identify data inconsistencies for investigation
• Assist Investment Portfolio team with other monthly duties as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quantitative analytical role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, or a quantitative field.
• Understanding of capital and financial markets.
• Understanding of banking related products -- determining how a product will behave in the future and the risk associated with it.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Power Point, and Access.
• Programming skills preferred (VBA).
• Excellent communication skills - Able to communicate and present complex issues clearly and concisely with management, both written and verbally.
• Strong quantitative analytical skills with proven ability to process large datasets into meaningful information, identify patterns, problems or analysis opportunities.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, balancing multiple responsibilities, adapting to changing priorities and meeting strict deadlines.
• Ability to work within a team environment, as well as independently.
