Job Description


Huntington Bank is looking for a creative storyteller with a sharp eye for composition and empathy in the edit bay. Yes, you'll be working for a bank, but you'll be working for a creative and innovative team within that bank. The team that's not afraid to break things and reassemble them, in the name of good communication and good storytelling.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in operating small, but producing big. And most importantly, who knows how to use video to move people to action. We'll need you to bring a capable hand to audio recording and understand how to light effectively. And did we mention post-production? That would also fall within your wheelhouse.

Responsibilities for this role will also include working closely with Huntington's executive leadership team and internal partners across the bank.

Required Skills:

  • Understand and facilitate the entire filmmaking process, from technical & creative points and working alone or in a team environment.
  • Be fluent (or a quick learner) with digital cinema and DSLR cameras.
  • Paint light into every frame with lighting fixtures & kits, and by shaping natural and practical sources.
  • Have an ear for clean location audio recording.
  • Deeply understand the craft and nuance of editing.
  • Keep an organized and tidy post-production workflow with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain creative decisions to team members, senior leaders, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all aspects of the creative production process, from ideation through distribution.
  • Comfortably and quickly evaluate remote shoot locations in order to produce the best results, balanced against time and budget.
  • Manage and archive media from location through post-production process.
  • Manage multiple projects of varying complexities while working under tight deadlines.
  • Pre-visualize and/or storyboard shot ideas based on scripts or project outlines.
  • Working with clients directly in edit sessions to assess needs and meet project requirements.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel, as needed, with the potential of some weekend work at times.
  • Prepare and distribute media in a variety of formats including internal and external web platforms and events.
  • Following standard operating procedures and design guidelines in line with marketing policies and protocol.
  • Assist in the maintenance and general upkeep of production gear and office equipment.
  • Properly maintain a digital archive.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required or in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 5 years of videography, audio recording and lighting experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of videography, audio recording and lighting experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience editing with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar non-linear editing software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in in video production, film, multimedia, journalism or communications is preferred.
